HOW DO THE THERAPIES SUPPORT YOU?
Our therapies in the service of wound healing
Mild oxygen therapy
With an increased oxygen concentration and pressure, more oxygen can reach the bloodstream, the tissues and the wound. It may help in the treatment of slow-healing wounds and may stimulate the formation of new blood vessels.
Cryotherapy
Under the effect of cold the blood vessels contract, which may reduce inflammation and swelling. After the treatment the vessels gradually dilate, improving circulation in the injured area.
Red light therapy
Red and near-infrared light penetrates deeper into the skin, stimulates the functioning of the cells, and according to research it may contribute to wound healing and to reducing scars.
Air compression massage
Rhythmic, mechanical pressure supports venous and lymph flow, which may also be important for swelling and tissue fluid balance during recovery.

Supported healing at every stage
The therapies can help in different ways at the different stages of healing – from reducing inflammation to supporting tissue regeneration.
- Decreasing inflammation and swelling

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace medical wound care?
No. These therapies are complementary treatments of a wellness and regeneration nature. The professional care of the wound, dressing and medical monitoring are in every case the task of the treating physician – the therapies are only worth using alongside those, after consultation.
Can they be applied to an open wound?
Not to an open or untreated wound. The treatments may relate to the area around the wound, or to the later stages of healing – we always discuss this in advance with you and your treating physician.
How long does it take before the effect is noticeable?
This varies from person to person and from therapy to therapy, and also depends greatly on the nature of the wound. For a more lasting result several regularly repeated treatments are usually needed.
Can the therapies be combined?
In most cases yes; in fact we often use them to complement each other. We work out the exact programme on site, in consultation with your treating physician.
Are there any contraindications?
Yes, and they differ from therapy to therapy. In the case of an acute infection, fever, an untreated wound, serious circulatory or heart disease, or pregnancy, always consult a specialist. You can also find the contraindications of the individual therapies on the therapy pages and on the FAQ page .
